When does the league start and end? The NFL season starts September 9th and ends January 2nd. We will most likely have the live draft a week or two before the season starts.

What is this league about? Fantasy Football gives you the experience of owning a team. In this league you get to draft players, decide who to start and bench each week, and also who to drop and pick up. Each week these players will play for you. If they do well that week, then so does your team.

Information on the league:
The league will consist of 10 teams (currently 9 open spots)
Scoring will be points only. So the team with the most points at the end of the season will win.

Common questions about the league:
1) I don’t know anything about American football; will I be at a disadvantage? Yes and no. Don’t worry if you don’t know the rules to the game or any of the players. There will be hundreds of player rankings out by August and truthfully this game is really all about luck and management.. NFL is very unpredictable with injuries, breakout players, and bust players. Pm me if you want to see the rankings I use.

2) Is this time consuming? Not at all, probably the most time consuming part is the live draft, which you do not even need to show up for. After the live draft all you need to do each week is set your players; decide who you want to start and bench, which usually take 5-15 minutes. If you really wanted to you could set up your lineup for the whole season on the very first day and leave it there. (I do not recommend this method)

3) What is the live draft? Live draft is basically, a live chart room where all 10 players meet; they take turns picking players that they want on their team. In case you decide not to show up, the computer will automatically pick your players. The computer will select the best player available base on their ranking system or your ranking system.

4) How long does it take to learn? Usually for beginners it takes a week or two. After that everything will become second nature. Feel free to pm me whenever you have questions and I will answer them as quickly and as thoroughly as possible.

5) What is the most important thing I should do in this league? The most important thing you should do is read the players note. Each player will have a footnote next to their name, which will tell you about their condition. For example, “Cheetah is out for the week due to a sprain ankle.” If you have Cheetah in your starting lineup, you would simply replace him with another player.

6) Adding and dropping players? As the season progresses some of your players will get injured or not play up to their potential so you can drop that player to pick up a new one. There is no limit on how many times you can drop and pick up players. Beware sometimes players will play bad for the first half of the season then play godlike in the second half.

7) I do not have 25 fg, can I still join? Yes, I will not be collecting the fg until all spots are filled up. Please try to get money ready by September. If for some reason not all spots are filled by September then I will most likely be canceling the league.

How to play:
1) During a live draft (the time will be schedule later) the 10 teams will take turns picking players off a board. Position will be randomly selected 30 minutes before the draft. Each person will get about 90 seconds to pick a player. This is what the draft will look like:

There will be a total of 15 rounds. Drafting usually takes 45 minutes to an hour, so if you’re interested make sure you are free for this. Once you draft your players you are stuck with them for the rest of the season, unless you decide to drop them.
To make it fair for the person who is picking last, they will get to pick first for round two.
Tips for drafting:
Make sure you pick a variety of positions. For example you want to aim for 2-3 quarterbacks, 5-6 wide receivers, 4-5 running backs, 2-3 tight ends, 2 kickers, 2 defenses.
Make sure you pick from a variety of teams. For example if you have all Chicago Bears players and they have a bye week. Then that week you will have no players to start.

2) Each week you will need to start:
1 quarterback
3 wide receivers
2 running backs
1 Tight End
1 Kicker
1 Defense
The rest of your players will be benched.

Scoring Settings (Standard Yahoo Point Only Settings)
This is pretty explanatory; if your quarterback throws a touchdown your team gets 4 points and so on.

Field Goals 0-19 Yards= 3 Points
Field Goals 20-29 Yards= 3 Points
Field Goals 30-39 Yards= 3 Points
Field Goals 40-49 Yards= 4 Points
Field Goals 50+ Yards= 5 Points
Point After Attempt Made= 1 Points
Points Allowed 0 points= 10 Points
Points Allowed 1-6 points= 7 Points

How to apply:
1) Pm me to reserves a spot
2) Make a yahoo account at. http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/
3) I will pm you the league name and password.
4) Join the league and use your D3jsp name as the team name. For example my team name will be Cheetah.
5) Buy in will be 25 fg. I will be putting in 350 fg of my own. So the winner will earn a total of 500 fg and second place will get 50 fg and third place will get their 25 fg back. (I am willing to have a moderator hold the fgs if needed)

Rules:
1) There will be no trading allowed for this league. This is to prevent teaming up or unfair trades.
2) There is no limit to how many times you can pick up/drop new players.
3) Incase there is a tie, the earnings will be split. For example a 2 way tie for first place would be a 250 fg split.
4) Trash talking is fine, but keep your language clean. May the best team win.
