Try using shield batteries for protoss. They're quite efficient, especially when you need stuff to take hits during massive assaults against your base.

Honestly I find the terran race to be the most annoying to build with. I think Protoss & Zerg are the 2 fastest races to get the job done.

well, the terrans rely more on power and might, and most terran players will need assistance or protection from rushers from teammates if they have them...
The zerg kinda sucks after the late game time (meaning having your base established...) For most maps, the zerg NEEDS to sprawl, if not you're gonna run out of vespine, and you're only gonna have zerglings to be cannon fodder...
The protoss aren't the to rush, but is very costly; however, they're a pretty big powerhouse against the zerg in the middle and late game.
So, if all players have the same experience levels, not saying anything about styles yet, but like a game of rock paper scissors, generally the zerg can take the terrans pretty well, the protoss can take the zerg with their strong units, and the terrans can take the protoss down with the science vessel and lockdown and more tech as such
