Great minds think alike.

I don't see why it wouldn't work in practice, they are meds for a reason right? They should be able to be trusted with money or why did they get the tag in the first place

Still way too risky

Can I ask how so?
With eliminating the risk of their jsp account and their part being strictly on pay pal I don't see the risk.

SOLUTION TO THE MEDIATOR ISSUE

Start trading with BTC (Bitcoins). It's a crypto-currency. The transactions are NOT reversible.

For example:
Seller has a thread selling fg.
Buyer wants $20 worth, so he purchases $20 worth of BTC.
Now either trader can contact a Med. The Buyer send the BTC to the Med. The Med informs the seller he has received the payment. The Seller now sends the fg to the Buyer. When the Buyer receives, the Med will release the BTC to the seller.

BTC are an EXTREMELY liquid currency. You can exchange it back into any fiat currency just as easily as you bought it.

This method of mediation can be used for all the problem trades the S&T is currently having. (accounts/fg/$$ trades)

What are Bitcoins? http://bitcoin.org/en/
How can I purchase them? https://localbitcoins.com/

Any questions just ask me!
i love this idea

This is possible, I believe the people trading would both need to be verified and all the personal info can be obtained then after a wait, the trade can be completed with a signed agreement between the moderator and the traders.
Essentially a contract or trade agreement signed by a notary ( of which I can do ) and signed by the people selling and purchasing.
