He is running Win XP off an old laptop, he needs to install NET Framework and when he opens the installer for it he gets the error " 'xxxxx.exe' is not a valid win32 application". He is seeking help to run the program.

Has he tried googling the exact problem it says? Such as "xxxx.exe is not a valid win32 application problem".
