depends on who you play, mobafire has excellent builds for items and how to play etc
after you get a feel for the game tweak it to how you play that champion
one main beginner tip, do your best not to die. ofc it is inevitable, but the more deaths you have, the stronger the other team gets. refereed to as "feeding". so do your best not to feed your lane.
for the most part, the game will almost always start with 2 top 1 mid 2 bot
that being said, keep an eye out on the minimap for enemies to go missing in their lane.
if someone in your lane goes missing, call mia. if another player calls mia, that means someone in his lane is missing. watch out, when someone goes mia they are usually getting ready to jump someone (gank)
if you don't watch for ganks they will get you almost every time, especially if you're new. and you want to die the least amount of times possible.
do not afk, do not leave during a game
games usually take about 40 min per, so it's smart not to start one if you don't have at least 40min of sit down time.
once you get a few games under your belt, gearing is important. your items should slightly vary almost every game depending on opponents (and your champion ofc)

Each character has a suggested build which is not hard to use. It takes a minute to get used to the moves.

meh.. reccomended builds are poo, i'd just google (champion name) build mobafire
that will get you plenty of legit builds. what items you use is half the game.
Darius is nice, I still havent got to try Varus yet 
startin to play LoL again cuz D3 is a major fail, we should all play some time.
but yah, Gaz3 is right, takes a minute to learn the champ. When I first started I got really frustrated.

i love that they add a champ like every 2 weeks but yah you're right. REALLY needs more maps. new items would be refreshing as well.

It really throws the balance of the game off when they add champions so rapidly... Look at Darius.. I'm tired of the "Shut him down early" or "Counter him" Arguments.
He's broken as fuck, no getting around that. Not only is he broken, but they nerfed him very lightly.
The reason they do this is to keep their sales up... Once they sell a certain # they drop the power of the champion, then buff another champion and release a skin for them, then nerf them when they get enough skin sales.
LoL is a huge HUGE HUGE scam. "Free Game" My ass; They profit off such bullshit, because people are willing to pay for OP characters rather than farm them for IP.

people just don't know how to play vs the new champs. he has a whole new skill set and varied play style, it's like a fight between a pro boxer who has never fought mma and pro mma who has fought plenty of boxers.
i've had no problems with any chars being OP except yi a while ago.
idk i haven't had a problem with any of the past few new chars.. except lulu.. what a fucking waste
and idk about scam... maybe if you could buy runes with rp.. the fact that they make the runes (biggest variable early game) only purchasable with ip really balances the game out between people who spend money and don't...
if not you have all the people willing to spend money top tier.
