The value of IGG is what people are willing to pay for it. IGG has a value of $25 per million to him. Just because you value your gold more doesn't mean someone else will value it for his amount.
You are on the d3jsp site and their currency has value to their members here. Check the selling and trading forum for more information on that.
Your statement "made up currency has no power over IGG" is the epitome of irony.

I'm obviously a new comer, but if you go to the Sell Anything but Illegal Item section There is a couple traders selling @ 1m Vs $25.00 |

I may go that route as my Barbarian hasn't had but two upgrades since Act 3 of NM and he is level 60 having killed Diablo on Hell difficulty.
The RMAH got pushed back another week. /sigh |
