I have an external HDD with tons of porn on it.
Now I want to password protect it. Does anyone know any good ways?
I dont want to use programs like Axcrpyt etc because it requires the program to open it.
I want to be able to just click the HDD folder and it will pop up a message asking for password without any programs necessary.
If this isn't possible, let me know the EASIEST program to use that doesn't make you save a key file to open the HDD, if it only requires the program to open, thats fine as long as there are no tangible files required
Will pay fg for help if you really want fg |

which operating system are you running? cause i am pretty sure that you can password protect it so only the admin could open it. _____________________

well what i was thinking was a couple different options. you could create a secondary admin password and have it the only opener of that particular hd. or you could simply use the similiar structure to create a new password.
<---havent touched a windows comp since xp. so im a little rusty lol _____________________

Secondary admin password?
That all sounds complicated lol, I only know how to put a administrator password, didn't even know there was a secondary admin password |

basically create a secondary admin account, i could be mistaken but i think with 7 you can have an admin AND a super admin. (again, its been years so i could be horribly wrong) and then just make the hard drive only able to be open by the super admin... leave your family the admin account... _____________________

Well i googled super administrator and it looks like it's just the Administrator account that is hidden unless you go to safe mode or make it active. That has the same powers as a regular administrator account I believe. |

im sure you could work it out that way, but to be fair your best bet would probably be to get one of those encryption programs, then just encrypt the hd and boom, you are good to go. pain in the ass but it really depends on what you are willing to do for porn personally i would suggest chrome + private browsing + tube sites lol _____________________

idk if you still need help, but there is 3 fairly simple ways to do this, all within windows.
you wont need 3rd party programs.
send me a pm if you need help _____________________
